Letty & Stephanie
Letty, the Director of The Backyard, worked for Northside Independent School District (NISD) for over 15 years as a Special Education Teacher and a Special Education Campus Coordinator. During her time with NISD, she was named Teacher of the Year twice for her passion and commitment to her students and families. She has always been an advocate for the special needs community, including for her daughter Stephanie.
Stephanie is a member of The Backyard. She enjoys socializing with her peers, riding the adult trike, and staying engaged with others as she transitions to her adult life. At home, she likes playing with balloons, walking her dog and looking for bugs in the backyard.

This program provides adults 18+ with opportunities to socialize and gain skills in daily living. Hours are 8:00-4:00pm.
